Kundalini Yoga /Pranayama (Breathwork) with Ingrid

Kundalini Yoga is often called the yoga of awareness and is an ancient form of yoga passed down from one yogi to another, kept secret in its native India until Yogi Bajan brought it to the West in the 1970’s.

Kundalini is a mixture of Kriyas (sets of exercises) combined with Pranayama (breathing exercises) and focus on the Chakras (the energy vortices of the body). We use Mantras (healing sounds in the form of chanting) which can help clear mental blockages or help to reaffirm and consolidate the Kriya. There’s a Kriya for every mood and part of the body; for the different seasons and Moon phases; for being uplifted, for staying calm and controlling anger.

The main purpose of Kundalini yoga is to help people achieve their maximum creative potential, free themselves from Karma (the lasting effects of past actions) and realize their true-life purpose.

A Kundalini yoga class can leave you feeling like you’ve cleared out your mental blockages and replaced them with joy and happiness, had an awesome workout in the gym, made it to your yoga mat to chill out and enjoyed a fun singing session with friends, all in one go!


Crystal Healing with Ingrid

Crystals are natural rocks or minerals that have an energy field that can interact with the human body’s own energy field, providing a range of benefits so can be used to treat the mind, body, and spirit holistically.

Our bodies are composed of energy which flows through us freely along pathways known as meridians. If these pathways become blocked, our energy can become stagnant, and we may begin to experience physical or emotional problems.

Placing certain crystals, on specific points known as chakras, on the body, can unblock these energetic pathways and allow the energy to flow freely once again.

Sometimes crystals can be placed around the body in a specific pattern, known as a grid, which can help to amplify the healing energy of the crystals.

Each type of crystal has its own unique energies and properties that can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions such as Amethyst, Quartz, Tourmaline, Jasper, Tigers Eye, to name just a few.

A one-to-one session (60 mins) would involve an identifying of the physical or emotional problem by scanning the chakras for imbalance, cleansing, and then energising the chakras, and lastly, re-aligning and sealing the chakras.



Instructor - Ingrid Finch

Originally from North Manchester but living here in North Cyprus for nearly 7 years, I worked as a Biology and Chemistry teacher but now enjoy teaching Kundalini Yoga, offering Crystal Healing and Freedom from Self Sabotage Coaching.

I have a deep reverence and connection to nature, animals and gardening and grow my own fruit and vegetables using organic and permaculture methods and principles and recently completed a Permaculture Design Certificate. I believe in living simply and in harmony with the land and putting back in what we take out, so as not to deplete our amazing Earth.

I keep fit by running, cycling and weight training. I am interested in nutrition and the importance of fresh, organic and nutrient dense food which I get from my own garden where possible, aided by my lovely rescue horse and donkey and their offerings!

I love to learn and never stop! I am fascinated by history and am currently studying Celtic beliefs and mythology.

Another course I have enrolled in is The Sovereign Project, studying how to live as a free and sovereign individual.

I wish to help people reach their potential in four ways; taking back control of their health, boosting self-esteem, connecting with their inner selves, and expanding their awareness of life outside the box.

From simple breathing exercises to relax the body and mind, visualisations for easier manifestation to discovering your connection, to an advanced state of consciousness in which you are able to delve into untapped potential within you, there is something for everyone to explore and enjoy in our classes.

Utilising over a decade of experiences in meditation, I will guide you each step of the way in order to enhance your sense of wellbeing, and enable you to experience many scientifically proven benefits to the wonderful practice of meditation.

Applying a consistent meditative practice is an incredible asset to you as an individual, which only serves to open you up to new and amazing possibilities, no matter what your motivations, dreams and goals are, or how far along the path of life you find yourself now.

In my youth I competed in county level athletics in the 100m and 4 x 100m relay events until the age of 18, after which I took several years out of sport and exercise and lived a rather unhealthy lifestyle where I unsurprisingly gained a lot of excess weight. After deciding enough was enough I met a great friend who helped me lose 4 stone (25.4kgs/56lbs) in 8 months and guided me to slowly build up to a healthier, more muscular version of myself.

Intermittently through my 20’s and 30’s I studied various forms of martial arts. Now with over 20 years experience as a personal trainer I have been fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of clients, aged 11 to 84 years, with a plethora of abilities and goals. From people with physical disabilities to athletes and almost everyone in between, I have assisted them in losing weight, gaining muscle, increasing general fitness as well as enhancing motor skills, strength and endurance in athletes from sports such as tennis, motor racing, athletics and bodybuilding.

I am also a certified nutrition advisor, sports therapist, circuit training, spinning and kickboxercise coach who is able to provide fun, safe and effective group exercise classes.

More recently I spent 5 wonderful years as a P.E teacher here in Northern Cyprus, working with children aged 5 to 11, improving the health and wellbeing of my students as well as implementing the schools athletics team with great success.

I look forward to utilising my experiences and knowledge to assist you now. 1 to 1 sessions will of course be tailored to your specific needs.
